Meta Platforms partners with Reliance Industries Limited for AI data centre in Jamnagar

• Meta Platforms has partnered with Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) to lease a 168 MW AI-ready data centre in Jamnagar, Gujarat.
• The Jamnagar facility will be powered by renewable energy, cooled with desalinated seawater, and connected to the Project Waterworth subsea cable network.
• Meta is partnering with CleanMax to build 837 MW of solar and wind projects in Rajasthan and Karnataka, and with Fourth Partner Energy for 88 MW of projects in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh.
• Meta and RIL have established a joint venture called Reliance Enterprise Intelligence Limited (REIL) with a committed investment of ₹855 crore.
• Reliance Industries Limited has committed $110 billion (₹10 lakh crore) over seven years for AI infrastructure, while Adani Enterprises plans to invest $100 billion by 2035.
