Multi-Lane Free Flow (MLFF) Tolling System launched at Daulatpura toll plaza in Rajasthan

• The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) launched Rajasthan's first multi-lane free flow (MLFF) tolling system at the Daulatpura toll plaza on the Delhi-Jaipur section of NH-48.
• The MLFF system integrates automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) technology with FASTag-based electronic toll collection to enable barrier-less tolling.
• NHAI plans to transit toll plazas at Shahjahanpur and Manoharpur to the MLFF system to ensure seamless commuting on the Delhi-Jaipur section.
• Previous MLFF implementations include the Chorayasi Toll Plaza on the Surat-Bharuch section of NH-48 in Gujarat and the Mundka-Bakkarwala Toll Plaza on the Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II) in Delhi.
• Users with insufficient or invalid FASTag balances are issued an electronic notice (E-Notice) and must pay the fee within 72 hours to avoid a penalty of twice the normal rate.
