UP Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana was launched by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in 2019.
The scheme provides a total benefit of ₹25,000 to girl children in six instalments from birth to graduation or Class 12.
Eligibility requires the girl child to be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh with an annual family income below ₹3 lakh and a maximum of two children in the family.
Over 1.5 crore girl beneficiaries have been covered under the scheme.
