• The Uttar Pradesh Sangeet Natak Akademi (SNA) Samman Ceremony 2026 was held at the Gandhi Auditorium of Jan Bhavan in Lucknow.
• A total of 51 distinguished artistes were honoured for their contributions to music, dance, theatre, and folk arts for the years 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024.
• The ceremony featured a message from Governor Anandiben Patel, which was delivered by Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak.
• The SNA has preserved more than 5,500 hours of rare audio-video recordings related to folk music and folk theatre traditions.
• The event was attended by SNA Chairman Prof Jayant Khot, Vice-chairperson Vibha Singh, Special Secretary (Culture) Sanjay Kumar Singh, and Academy Director Dr Shobhit Kumar Nahar.
