Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (BPCL) acquired the remaining 39.14% stake in IBV Brasil Petroleo Limitada (IBV) for ₹2,312 crore.
The acquisition, completed on July 1, 2026, increases the indirect shareholding of BPCL in IBV to 100% through its subsidiary, BPRL Ventures B.V.
The acquisition of IBV received concurrence from the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) and NITI Aayog.
BPCL signed an agreement on June 29 to acquire a 40% stake in Tiki Tar and Shell India Pvt Ltd for ₹85 crore to strengthen its presence in the bitumen and road infrastructure materials segment.
