Delhi Next – Code, Create and Change: Boost for Civic-Tech Innovations

Key facts

• Chief Minister Rekha Gupta launched the 'Delhi Next – Code, Create and Change' programme at the Delhi Secretariat to solve urban challenges through technology.
• The initiative's outreach campaign reached over one crore young people across the country, with more than 2.5 lakh participants registering.
• An expert committee evaluated over 5,000 technical proposals, shortlisting 1,000 participants, with the top 60 teams presenting working prototypes.
• The top 60 projects will be implemented as pilot projects by government departments and will receive long-term support, mentorship, and guidance to develop a minimum viable product (MVP).
• The programme targets solutions for traffic management, waterlogging, smart parking, air pollution, waste management, electric vehicle ecosystem, digital governance, and citizen grievance redressal.
