ICAI Inaugurates First Edition of Global Orbit Summit 2026 in New Delhi

• The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), through its Global Trade & Services Committee, inaugurated the first edition of the ICAI Global Orbit Summit 2026 in New Delhi.
• The summit was organised under the theme ICAI Global Orbit: From GCCs to Global Leadership to strengthen India’s position as a destination for Global Capability Centres (GCCs).
• India currently hosts over 2,100 GCCs, employing nearly 2.36 million professionals and generating approximately USD 100 billion in annual revenue.
• The New Delhi event marks the commencement of a seven-city summit series that will travel to Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, and Chennai.
• The summit is supported by ecosystem partners including the Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC), International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA), National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), and IIM Sambalpur.
• The initiative aims to align Indian Chartered Accountants with global business standards and emerging skill requirements in finance, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.
• The summit series focuses on enhancing India’s competitiveness as a global hub for high-value services to contribute to the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.
