  • India's first hydrogen fuel cell train generates electricity onboard using a Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) fuel cell, producing only water vapour and heat as by-products.
  • The train consists of 10 coaches (8 passenger coaches and 2 Hydrogen Driving Power Cars) with a capacity of around 2,600 passengers, making it one of the largest hydrogen-powered passenger trains globally.
  • It initially operates at a maximum speed of 75 kmph on the 89-km Jind–Sonipat section in Haryana, with a design speed of 110 kmph.
