The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has granted a Certificate of Registration to Prudential HCL Health Insurance Ltd.
Prudential HCL Health Insurance Ltd is a joint venture between the United Kingdom's Prudential Group and India's HCL Group.
The approval was granted during the 136th Authority meeting of the IRDAI held on June 29.
With this latest licence, the total number of standalone health insurers in India has increased to eight.
This registration is the third insurance licence issued by the IRDAI in the calendar year 2026.
