- Project INROAD (Indian Natural Rubber Operations for Assisted Development) was launched in FY 2021-22 to expand natural rubber plantations in North-East India.
- It has achieved 1,79,376 hectares of new plantations, nearly 90% of the 2 lakh hectare target, over five years.
- The project is financed by Apollo Tyres, CEAT, JK Tyre, and MRF, and implemented by the Rubber Board of India.
- Over 2 lakh beneficiaries, primarily small and marginal farmers, have been benefited under the project.
