The Gujarat government has approved the establishment of four Centres of Excellence for natural farming with a provision of ₹20 crore for the 2026-27 financial year.
The centres will be located in Navsari, Morbi, Bhavnagar and Chhota Udepur districts.
Each centre will have facilities to train 100 farmers at a time, providing training in natural farming bio-inputs like Jeevamrut and Beejamrut.
The centres will also provide soil testing, quality testing, and guidance on value addition, processing, storage, and packaging of agricultural produce.
The Gujarat Natural Agriculture Development Board has been assigned to implement the initiative under the guidance of Governor Acharya Devvrat.
