India: Amit Shah Inaugurates 9th National Security Strategies Conference-2026 in New Delhi

• Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the 9th two-day National Security Strategies (NSS) Conference-2026 in New Delhi on August 24, 2026.

• Amit Shah emphasised implementation of the MHA's PRAHAAR scheme, expediting trials through fugitive return and trial in absentia provisions, and a comprehensive integrated approach in UAPA cases.
• He directed AI-based analysis of information available on MAC platforms to create standard operating procedures for national security challenges.
• He directed all agencies to take strict measures against infiltration.
• The second day of the conference will focus on sub-aerial systems threats, securing the blue economy, information warfare, and the need for a bio-security framework.
• The NSS Conference has been held annually in hybrid format since 2021 following the directions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
