India hosts 2nd BRICS 2026 Tourism Working Group Meeting in Jaipur

• The Ministry of Tourism hosted the 2nd BRICS 2026 Tourism Working Group (TWG) Meeting in Jaipur, Rajasthan, under India's BRICS Chairship.

• The meeting built upon the 1st BRICS 2026 Tourism Working Group Meeting held virtually on May 25.
• Discussions focused on India's thematic priorities: Artificial Intelligence and Tourism, Sustainability and Responsible Tourism, Tourism Skilling and Capacity Building, and Tourism Exchanges and Seamless Travel Facilitation.
• The meeting was held under the overarching theme 'Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability'.
• The Working Group recognised tourism as a driver of economic growth, employment, sustainable development and people-to-people exchanges.
• The outcome of the deliberations will provide a basis for the BRICS Tourism Ministers' Meeting on 21 August.
• BRICS delegates undertook a technical visit to Hawa Mahal, City Palace and Amer Palace in Jaipur.
