Kawa UAV conducts maiden flight test of Divyastra Mk3 loitering munition on August 11, 2026

• Kawa UAV Pvt. Ltd., a defence start-up based in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, conducted the maiden flight test of the Divyastra Mk3 loitering munition on August 11, 2026.
• The Divyastra Mk3 is India's first indigenous jet-powered loitering munition to take flight.
• The munition is powered by an indigenous jet engine developed by DG Propulsion, with no imported jet engine or foreign critical subsystem.
• The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) completed final deliverable configuration development trials of the UAV Launched Precision Guided Missile (ULPGM)-V3 in air-to-ground and air-to-air modes at a test range near Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh.
• DRDO partnered with Bharat Dynamics Limited and Adani Defence Systems & Technologies Limited for production of the ULPGM, which was integrated with UAVs developed by Newspace Research and Technologies.
