The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) approved 31 more applications under the Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS) with a total investment of ₹7,877 crore.
These approvals are expected to result in production worth ₹82,243 crore and generate employment for nearly 10,000 people.
The approved products include transducers, rare-earth permanent magnets, optical transceivers, speakers, relays, capacitors, and connectors, among others.
With these approvals, MeitY has cleared 106 applications under ECMS, covering around 30 products across 15 states.
The total investment under ECMS has reached ₹69,548 crore, exceeding the original target of ₹59,350 crore.
