The Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) signed a non-financial MoU with PCI India to strengthen women-led enterprises (WLEs) and SHG-led enterprises.
The MoU was signed under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana–National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM).
The MoU covers the period 2026–2029 and involves no transfer of funds between the parties.
The collaboration builds on an initiative supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) started in 2022.
The partnership aims to enhance participation of women-led enterprises in government and institutional procurement through capacity building and market linkages.
