National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) announces winners of National Climate Stack Innovation Challenge

Key facts

• NABARD, with support from the Gates Foundation and Dalberg Advisors, announced the winners of the National Climate Stack Innovation Challenge.
• The challenge was launched to advance DiCRA (Data in Climate Resilient Agriculture) as a Digital Public Infrastructure for rural climate resilience.
• SatSure Analytics India Pvt Ltd won the first prize for developing a composite climate vulnerability index that scores villages on climate risk.
• EXPERIQS Pvt Ltd won the second prize for developing a block-level drought intelligence platform combining drought indices, vegetation signals and climate projections.
• VARSAPRADAYA Pvt Ltd won the third prize for developing a 3-km, 20-year hazard scoring and advisory engine built on DiCRA.
• The challenge received over 150 applications, with 20 teams shortlisted to develop prototypes and Eleven teams reaching the final round.
• The final solutions were evaluated by a jury comprising experts from the Reserve Bank of India, NABARD, the World Bank, ThinkAg, the Gates Foundation and the India Meteorological Department.
