National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) launches RSVC-AMRIT platform for rural innovation

• The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) launched the RSVC-AMRIT platform on August 15, 2025, in collaboration with the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser (OPSA).
• The platform serves as a digital ecosystem supporting the complete RSVC lifecycle, including technology discovery, validation, deployment tracking, collaboration, monitoring, and knowledge management.
• AMRIT aims to connect innovators, technology providers, startups, validators, accelerators, implementation partners, funding agencies, academic institutions, and rural communities on a shared platform.
• NABARD currently supports 8 RSVCs across the country and plans to expand through a scheme involving corporates via CSR initiatives, with NABFOUNDATION as the implementation partner.
• The initiative builds on a tripartite MoU between NABARD, OPSA, and NABFOUNDATION, and the establishment of a Centre of Excellence on RSVCs at NABARD's head office in Mumbai.
• The platform is expected to evolve into a national repository of rural innovations, technologies, best practices, and collaboration opportunities, supporting the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
