Abiy Ahmed, aged 49, is set to serve another term as the Prime Minister of Ethiopia after his party secured an overwhelming majority in the general election.
The Prosperity Party won 438 of the 501 contested seats in the parliament to form the new government.
Abiy Ahmed, who first came to power in 2018, is scheduled to be sworn in for his new term at the beginning of October.
He was previously awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2019 for his efforts in ending hostilities with Ethiopia's northern neighbour, Eritrea.
The election results were rejected by the Fano militias in Amhara and the Oromo Liberation Army (OLA) in Oromia.
