C-DOT and IIT Hyderabad Establish Centre of Excellence in Advanced Communication Technologies

• The Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), a telecom R&D centre under the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH) to establish a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Advanced Communication Technologies.
• The CoE is designed to accelerate indigenous research, innovation, and capacity building in wireless communications, quantum technologies, cybersecurity, and AI-driven applications.
• This initiative marks the fourth CoE by C-DOT, following previous collaborations at IIT Kanpur, IIT Gandhinagar, and IIT Roorkee.
• The CoE will focus on joint research and prototype development in 5G Advanced/6G technologies, large-scale MIMO systems, integrated sensing and communication systems, AI-enabled networks, and quantum communications.
• C-DOT's indigenous solutions include 4G/5G, TRINETRA cybersecurity suite, secure quantum communications, disaster management platforms, and AI-enabled applications.
