  • The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and the Digital India BHASHINI Division (DIBD) have signed an MoU to strengthen multilingual digital access across India's investment and business ecosystem.
  • The partnership aims to provide access to government information, startup services, policy communication and citizen-centric services in all 22 languages listed in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution through the BHASHINI platform.
  • The collaboration will enable multilingual access across DPIIT’s digital platforms through initiatives such as BHASHINI Udyat, Mitra, Appmitra and Pravakta.
  • The initiative will support translation APIs, voice-enabled technologies, multilingual glossaries, domain-specific language models and language datasets.
