Shishu Maapan App: AI-powered newborn growth tracking in Andhra Pradesh

• The Medical and Health Department of Andhra Pradesh has partnered with Wadhwani AI to introduce the Shishu Maapan application for contactless newborn measurements.
• The AI-powered system enables the automatic measurement of a newborn's weight, height, head circumference, chest circumference, and arm circumference through mobile phone videos.
• The application will be integrated with the app used by Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHA) and involves training for ASHA workers and Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs).
