Acharya Ranchhodlal Goswami was selected for the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar 2025.
The award was announced by the Sangeet Natak Akademi under the Union Ministry of Culture for the 2024-25 awards.
The honour recognises Goswami's contribution to preserving and promoting Haveli Sangeet, a devotional music tradition rooted in the Pushtimarg sect established by Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya.
Goswami is the 16th-generation Acharya of the Goswami Haveli in Kalupur, Ahmedabad, and has composed more than 22,000 devotional verses and authored eight books.
His compositions span several languages, including Vrajbhasha, Gujarati, Sanskrit, Charani, Mewari, and Marwari.
The Haveli Sangeet tradition remains active in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Punjab.
