The Andhra Pradesh government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to establish a UAE Food Cluster in the state.
The MoU was signed between the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB) and the UAE Food Cluster in the presence of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri.
Dubai-based Floor Masters International announced an investment of ₹100 crore to set up a food processing unit at Gangadhara Nellore in Chittoor district.
The company plans to use Andhra Pradesh as its export base for nearly 25 countries.
The partnership aims to promote investments, trade, and exports by creating an integrated food processing value chain focusing on horticultural produce such as mangoes, bananas, and cocoa.
