Cabinet Approves BHAVYA Rasayan Scheme with Rs 3,030 Crore Outlay

• The Union Cabinet approved the BHAVYA Rasayan Scheme (Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojana Rasayan) with a total financial outlay of Rs 3,030 crore.
• The scheme will run for five years from FY2026-27 to FY2030-31.
• It aims to establish three dedicated chemical parks with plug-and-play infrastructure.
• Each park requires a minimum contiguous area of 8 square kilometres (2,000 acres) of encumbrance-free land.
• The central government will provide grants of up to Rs 1,000 crore per park, subject to a minimum state contribution of Rs 500 crore.
• The parks will include common effluent treatment plants, treatment storage and disposal facilities, water supply, steam generation, and logistics infrastructure.
• The scheme is expected to reduce import dependence, attract investment, generate employment, and lower operational costs by 20-30%.
