CCEA Approves Two Multi-Tracking Projects in Odisha, Jharkhand at Rs 39.07 Billion

• The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) approved the Paradeep-Haridaspur Doubling Project and the Rajkharsawan-Dangoaposi Fourth Rail Line Project on July 15, 2026.
• The projects cover approximately 145 km across the states of Odisha and Jharkhand.
• The combined cost of the projects is Rs 39.07 billion.
• The projects are planned under the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan to enhance multimodal connectivity and logistics efficiency.
• The projects are expected to generate additional freight traffic of 44 million tonnes per annum, supporting the transportation of commodities like coal, iron ore, dolomite, limestone, and gypsum.
• The capacity augmentation will enhance rail connectivity to approximately 1,526 villages and improve access to tourist destinations such as the Lalitgiri Buddhist Complex, Shree Baladevjew Temple, and Meghahatuburu Hills.
