CSIR Transfers Four Indigenous Technologies to Industry & Commercially Launches Smart Rural Water Monitoring System

• The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) transferred four indigenous technologies to industry and commercially launched an IoT-enabled rural water monitoring system.
• The technologies licensed to Pump Academy Private Limited include the Induction Motor Stethoscope (MSCOPE), Portable and Universal Motor-cum-Pump Performance Monitor (PU-MPPM), and i-Power Quality Analyser (IPQA).
• The Optical Module and Beam Combiner Assembly for the Head-Up Display (HUD) of the SU-30 aircraft was transferred to Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL).
• The IoT-enabled rural water monitoring system, launched through Biometry Technologies Private Limited, enables advanced monitoring of water quality, quantity, and service delivery in rural areas.
• During FY26, CSIR-CSIO received Rs. 1.67 crore (US$ 177,660) in royalty from BEL for licensed production of indigenous military avionics technologies including HUD systems, Drogue Lights, and other tools.
