- A.P. Moller–Maersk (Maersk) unveiled the first export-import (EXIM) shipping container manufactured in India, becoming the first international shipping line to procure an India-made container.
- The inaugural container was unveiled at the Inland Container Depot (ICD) in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh, which is a joint venture between Maersk and Container Corporation of India (CONCOR).
- Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal unveiled the container, which was manufactured by the DCM Shriram Group.
- The Union Budget 2026 announced a Production Linked Incentive (PLI) support of ₹10,000 crore to improve the commercial viability of manufacturing shipping containers in India.
- The container complies with International Organization for Standardization (ISO) structural and dimensional specifications and the International Convention for Safe Containers (CSC).
