NCVET Grants Awarding Body (Dual) Recognition to NIIT Foundation to Strengthen AI-Enabled Skill Development

Key facts

• The National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) signed an agreement granting Awarding Body (Dual) recognition to NIIT Foundation.
• NIIT Foundation is now eligible to directly conduct training, assessments, and award NSQF-aligned certifications for approved qualifications across its pan-India network.
• NCVET approved the first two qualifications: Fundamentals of Digital Productivity with AI Tools (NSQF Level 3) and Fundamentals of Data Management with AI Tools (NSQF Level 4).
• The recognition ceremony was chaired by Shri Niranjan Kumar Sudhansu, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Executive Member of NCVET.
• The recognition aims to strengthen India's vocational education ecosystem by promoting innovative, industry-responsive qualifications aligned with emerging technologies.
