Key facts
- The Delhi government launched the Pink Saheli Smart Card Yojana on 2 March 2026 to provide free travel on Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) and cluster buses operated by the Delhi Integrated Multi-Modal Transit System (DIMTS).
- The card is a National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) based digital smart card developed with technology partners Airtel Payments Bank and Muthoot Pay.
- Eligibility for the card is restricted to women and transgender residents of Delhi aged 5 years or above who possess a valid Aadhaar Card or Voter ID with a Delhi residential address.
- From 1 August, the existing paper-based pink tickets will be phased out, and free travel will only be available to those possessing a valid Pink Saheli Smart Card.
- Launched by President Droupadi Murmu, the scheme replaces a 2019 ticketing system and integrates with the Centre's One Nation, One Card initiative.
