Bihar Announces Mahila Vishwavidyalaya for All-Women Academic Ecosystem

• Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary announced the establishment of Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, a women-only university in which vice chancellor, faculty, staff, and students will all be women.
• The Mahila Vishwavidyalaya announcement was made on the eve of Raksha Bandhan 2026.
• At the announcement event, Bihar disbursed ₹600 crore to beneficiaries under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana through Direct Benefit Transfer.
