The 18-metric-tonne consignment was procured directly from farmers in Darbhanga, Bihar, providing them nearly 18 per cent higher returns than the market price.
The shipment was facilitated by the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA).
Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal announced the development.
Bihar Agriculture Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha flagged off the consignment from the Integrated Unit of Irradiation Cum Packhouse at Bihta, Patna.
