Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH) launches ANUGYAN nuclear training programme

• Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH) launched ANUGYAN – Nuclear Technology Orientation Programme (NTOP) in collaboration with Crimson Energy Experts Private Limited (CEEPL) on August 3, 2026.
• ANUGYAN is India's first industry-academia programme for the civil nuclear energy sector.
• The three-month fully residential programme combines academic learning with industrial exposure.
• The programme aims to meet the demand for trained professionals as India plans to increase nuclear power generation capacity from 8.8 GWe to 100 GWe by 2047.
• The curriculum includes reactor physics, thermal hydraulics, radiation safety, Small Modular Reactors (SMRs), engineering design, quality assurance, AERB regulatory compliance, and simulator-based training.
• Participants completing the programme receive a joint certification from IITH and Crimson Energy Experts.
• The launch supports the MoU signed by IITH, Dassault Systèmes, and Crimson Energy Experts to establish the Centre of Design Excellence in Nuclear Engineering (CODENE).
