PM Modi Unveils Sapta Dhara Framework for Viksit Bharat

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the 'Sapta Dhara' seven-point reform framework on August 15, 2026, from the Red Fort on the 80th Independence Day.
• The framework aims to accelerate India's progress towards Viksit Bharat by 2047.

• Under defence power, India must become self-reliant in defence, emerge as a global supplier of next-generation defence technologies, and lead in hypersonic, drones, counter-drone systems, and cyber security.
• Under the green and blue economy, India should scale up green hydrogen, renewable energy, energy storage, green mobility, green manufacturing, fisheries, coastal tourism, and ocean technology.
• Under soft power, India should build global strength through yoga, Ayurveda, spiritual centres, the 'Heal in India' movement, handicrafts, culture, films, digital content, and foreign tourism.
• PM Modi added that the seven streams of Sapta Dhara should be pursued through a holistic approach and not as separate sectoral initiatives.
