Tata Boeing Aerospace Delivers 400th Apache Fuselage

Key facts

• Tata Boeing Aerospace Limited (TBAL), a joint venture between Boeing and Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL), rolled out its 400th fuselage for the AH-64E Apache attack helicopter from its Hyderabad facility.
• The TBAL manufacturing facility in Hyderabad spans 52,000 square metres.
• The fuselages are manufactured entirely in India and integrated into Apache aircraft supplied to customers worldwide, including the US Army.
• Six Apache helicopters were delivered to the Indian Army in 2025, while the Indian Air Force currently operates 22 AH-64E Apache helicopters.
• Established in 2016, TBAL employs more than 750 engineers and technicians using advanced robotics, automation and aerospace manufacturing technologies.
• TASL signed an MoU last week with the Javelin Joint Venture, a partnership between Raytheon and Lockheed Martin, for co-production of the Javelin All Up Round (AUR) missile in India.
• Under the Javelin agreement, sub-assembly kits will be manufactured at Lockheed Martin's facility in Troy, Alabama, and guidance electronics units at Raytheon's facility in Tucson, Arizona, before final assembly in India.
• The parties intend to explore setting up a dedicated final assembly and integration facility in India with local component manufacturing to support the Indo-Pacific region.
