- Andhra Pradesh has finalised arrangements for its first semiconductor project under the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) at Tarluvada village in Visakhapatnam.
- The project involves an Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) facility proposed by M/s. Advanced System In Package Technologies Private Limited.
- The OSAT facility envisages a total investment of ₹2,387.81 crore, to be executed in two phases of ₹542.19 crore and ₹1,845.61 crore respectively.
- The state government has approved the allotment of 30 acres of land at a nominal rate of ₹1 per acre under the Andhra Pradesh Semiconductor and Display Fab Policy (4.0) 2024-29.
- The Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) will oversee the development of external infrastructure for the project, which is supported by a 50% grant from the Union government.
