The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER) to establish a research centre focused on transportation, mobility, and logistics economics.
The NHAI Centre for Economics of Transportation, Mobility and Logistics will be housed at NCAER to support policy formulation through data-driven research.
The centre will undertake research in areas including highway economics, freight logistics, tolling policy, asset monetisation, road safety, and technology adoption.
