President Droupadi Murmu confers Gallantry Awards at Defence Investiture Ceremony

• President Droupadi Murmu conferred Gallantry Awards to personnel of the Armed Forces, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), and State and Union Territory Police during the Defence Investiture Ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhawan.
• The awards presented included seven Kirti Chakras, 15 Vir Chakras, and 29 Shaurya Chakras.
• Kirti Chakras were awarded to Lance Naik Meenatchi Sundaram A and Group Captain Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair, who is one of the four Gaganyatris for India's maiden Human Space Flight Mission Gaganyaan.
• Sub Inspector Md Imteyaj and Constable Deepak Chingakham of the Border Security Force (BSF) were awarded the Vir Chakra posthumously for their service at the International Border in Jammu.
• Shaurya Chakras were awarded to Major Aditya Pratap Singh for bravery in Arunachal Pradesh, and Inspector Laxman Kewat and Inspector Rameswar Prasad Deshmukh of Chhattisgarh Police for anti-naxal operations.
