HCLTech has announced an investment of ₹14,257 crore to set up its first AI data centre at the Odisha Sovereign AI Park.
The project is in partnership with sovereign AI startup Sarvam and the Odisha government, which will provide financial assistance.
HCLTech will also establish a Global Technology Centre (GTC) in Bhubaneswar with a capacity of 5,000 people, expected to begin operations in 2028.
The company had earlier invested $150 million (approx ₹1,447 crore) in Sarvam in June 2026 and plans to invest up to ₹3,500 crore in building AI data centres scaling to 50 MW capacity.
The initiative will develop sector-specific AI applications for private and public sector clients, strengthening India's sovereign AI ecosystem.
