- The fuel was jointly developed by the Indian Army and Oil Marketing Companies.
- XWG Diesel remains effective at temperatures as low as minus 42 degrees Celsius, overcoming the problem of conventional diesel thickening and clogging fuel filters.
- The fuel is compliant with BS-VI standards and IS 1460:2025 specifications and can be used in existing vehicle fleets without engine modification or re-homologation.
