Mission Samriddh Gaon Launched to Develop Poverty-Free, Employment-Rich Villages

• Mission Samriddh Gaon will develop pilot models in two blocks of Madhya Pradesh: Budni in Sehore district and Khategaon in Dewas district.
• The mission aims to reduce poverty, generate employment, and achieve overall village development through convergence of various government schemes.
• The objective is to create model villages where every family has an employment or livelihood opportunity, basic amenities are available, and people do not have to migrate out of compulsion.
• An integrated development framework will be prepared at family, gram panchayat, and block levels, linking each family to Central and state schemes based on needs.
• The mission will focus on identifying women farmers, providing agricultural advice, and connecting rural women with livelihood opportunities.
• It promotes integrated farming systems and diversified activities such as fruit/vegetable cultivation, fisheries, goat rearing, animal husbandry, poultry, and beekeeping.
• Warehouses, food processing, and production-based activities will be promoted to strengthen the rural economy.
