PMAY-G: Rajasthan Gets Approval for 2.89 Lakh Rural Houses with ₹3,473 Crore Outlay

• Rajasthan received approval for 2,89,355 additional rural houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) with a total outlay of ₹3,473 crore.
• Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan handed over the approval letter to Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma at Baran.
• A survey covering 29,13,749 new potential beneficiaries has been completed in Rajasthan under PMAY-G.
• PMAY-G eligibility was expanded to include families owning a two-wheeler, women earning up to ₹15,000 per month, and small farmers owning up to five acres of unirrigated or 2.5 acres of irrigated land.
• An approval letter for ₹340.59 crore was also handed over for agricultural development initiatives and the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana.
• Under the Viksit Bharat-G RAM G Yojana, a ₹12,000 crore rural development investment target has been set for Rajasthan over the next nine months.
• The government aims to increase the number of Lakhpati Didis in Rajasthan from 16 lakh to 32 lakh, with banks having disbursed ₹13,400 crore to women for entrepreneurial activities.
