OIL Green Energy (OGEL), the renewables arm of Oil India, signed MoUs with four Haryana municipalities for integrated waste-to-energy projects.
The projects will be located in Gurugram, Faridabad, Hisar, and Ambala with a combined capacity of 5,000 tonnes per day of municipal solid waste.
The facilities will produce 70–75 tonnes per day of compressed biogas (CBG) and 50 MW of green power.
The integrated approach will recover recyclables, use wet/biodegradable waste for CBG, and non-recyclable dry waste for electricity generation.
The initiative aligns with India's GOBARdhan – National Circular Bioenergy Scheme 2026, supporting waste-to-wealth and circular economy goals.
