  • PM Modi inaugurated the Majlis Park–Maujpur Babarpur section of the Pink Line and the Deepali Chowk–Majlis Park stretch of the Magenta Line.
  • The Pink Line now totals 71.56 km, forming India's first fully operational ring metro encircling large parts of Delhi.
  • Stations on the newly opened Majlis Park–Maujpur Babarpur corridor are Burari, Jharoda Majra, Jagatpur-Wazirabad, Soorghat, Nanaksar-Sonia Vihar, Khajuri Khas, Bhajanpura, Yamuna Vihar and Maujpur-Babarpur.
  • The Deepali Chowk–Majlis Park Magenta Line extension spans about 49 km and includes the elevated stations Madhuban Chowk, Uttar Pitampura–Prashant Vihar, Haiderpur Village, Haiderpur Badli Mor and Bhalswa.

  • Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) stated that Phase V(A) extension of Magenta Line from Ramakrishna Ashram Marg to Indraprastha via Central Vista was approved on 24 December 2025.
  • The extended Magenta Line will run 89 km from Botanical Garden to Inderlok, making it the longest corridor in the Delhi Metro network.
  • The corridor will have 65 stations in total, including 40 underground stations.
  • Upon completion, the Magenta Line will have 21 interchange stations, up from the current four operational interchange stations: Kalkaji Mandir, Botanical Garden, Janakpuri West, and Hauz Khas.
  • Triple interchange stations on the extended Magenta Line will be Central Secretariat, Azadpur, New Delhi, and Inderlok.

  • The assurance was given during the delegation-level meeting between defence minister Rajnath Singh and his Russian counterpart Andrei Belousov on Dec 4.
  • Once the deals are inked, Vietnam and Indonesia will become the other ASEAN countries after the Philippines to buy the air-breathing missiles.
  • India had inked a $375 million contract to supply three anti-ship BrahMos coastal batteries to the Philippines in Jan 2022.
